HOLLYWOOD CLIMATE SUMMIT
The Hollywood Climate Summit is an annual multi-day conference that creates a cross-sector community space for thousands of entertainment and media professionals to take action on climate. Our event gathers filmmakers, executives, artists, activists, climate organizations, scientists, and other experts, for interactive programming ranging from workshops and trainings to mixers and parties.
While it takes place in Los Angeles, professionals from 52 different countries have joined virtually. We believe this summit is growing into the SXSW of climate media: a marketplace that bridges music, technology, advertising, and more.
A percentage of all of our YEA! Impact accounts goes towards Young Entertainment Activists.
WHAT THE FCK IS YEA!?
OUR MISSION: Founded in 2019, we are an activist hub supported by YEA! Impact that organizes young media professionals--equipping them with tools to transform our industry and lend their talent to critical social change. Our goal is to change the stories that shape our culture and the greater community.
THEORY OF CHANGE: YEA! supports the growth and advancement of Activated Culture Makers (young media professionals ready to leverage their positions for social impact) both inside of Hollywood and as young people passionate about justice, climate, and social change. Our programming primarily serves those who have not been represented within the industry and on screen – young people of color, queer & LGBTQI folx, disabled, and immigrant communities. When these communities gain access to the rooms that create culture, mainstream audiences experience new voices and new perspectives that collectively help us move towards an inclusive, pluralist, and representative society.
OUR VISION: If we want content to have a positive and progressive cultural impact, we need to engage the people who make it.
